Happy Daylight Savings! I’m actually not a huge fan of the “fall back”…I hate that it gets dark at 5:30. And I prefer to run in the dark (even though that usually means I’m tripping over potholes, etc…at least it’s dark and people don’t see me do it!).
Last night, Kat and I ventured out to the Greek festival.
I was completely looking forward to a Greek salad but the lines were so long we didn’t even try.
Kat grabbed a Greek beer and we sat and watched some traditional Greek dancing for awhile, then decided we’d just get takeout instead.
We went with Indian food- used Tallahassee takeout for delivery- and I ordered a chickpea and spinach blend to put over long-grain rice. Delish. Brought the rest home for leftovers.
We ended up watching the Avengers (while I kept track of Bama-LSU on my phone) and doing the very girly “get your nails done” thing (DIY style of course).
Headed to bed and still forgot to set my clocks back…
This morning I started the 4th day of my cleanse. I don’t want to be the girl that says “the system’s already working” because I prefer quantifiable data, but guys… the system is totally already working. I feel better, I look better, and my clothes are already fitting a little better. Truth. Anyway, this morning was the beginning of the ProBiotic Restore.

And yes, that IS the latest version of VegNews. Still need to read it. Always great recipes that are healthy, veggie or vegan-friendly, and a lot of them are also gluten free. But right now I’m trying to get up the motivation for a run… for some reason my motivation is out the window for long runs right now. Atypical for me… I’ll have to look at a plan for half-marathon training later. That will spark my running mojo!
On a side note…one of my friends posted to my FB wall about healthier drinking options when going out. Seriously, alcohol is calorie-ridden. But I enjoy a good drink out as much as the next person (typically a glass of Cab or Malbec or a good dark beer). Here is a guide to “drinking healthy” (well, you know…I guess as healthy as you can make alcohol as possible). It also includes what food choices you should make at which bars:
